Against the
backdrop of fuel prices in India skyrocketing with 9 increases in a row from

the CEOs and other top Executives of the four largest public sector oil
companies namely Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation,
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.
expressing anguish over the situation. Fully knowing that even thousands of
such letters would only fall on deaf ears, this has been done as a citizen in the
face of the non-chalant approach adopted by the authorities in the matter of
jacking up the fuel prices by giving daily shocks to the consumers.
