We have seen in India that whenever a party or an alliance comes to power with a brutal majority in Parliament or Assembly, the government so formed shows autocratic tendencies and rulers become impudent, inconsiderate and megalomaniac as power goes to their head, with no strong opposition to challenge their activities and over confidence overtaking them. This is one of the serious drawbacks of any government with a brutal majority.
