Democratic politics as it exists in some countries can be defined as the art whereby issues are skillfully created out of non-issues or trivialities by those who could not capture power, keeping those in power glued to such non-issues and trivialities in the guise of issues for the full or major part of the latter's tenure at the cost of national welfare, so that the latter's image and reputation will reach a level which prompts the electors to reject them when they get the opportunity.
